Imagination

Imagination
*
It is the one thing I wish would stick around from childhood
*
I get a tiny glimpse of what it was like to pretend each and every time we step foot into the Magic Kingdom...
*
But what is really cool, is after you have a kid of your own, and THEY begin to imagine!
*
Watching them almost disappear into another world is so amazing!
*
Pretending to be a mermaid or a teacher or a drummer {wink!}...
*
It is just breath-taking!
*
I am so in love with her and her quirky ways and her sparkling attitude that is sometimes a sparkler and sometimes a MAJOR firework! I love her passion and motivation! And I love her creative nature...
*
Thank you TJ for building her a Cinderella Coach!

and for letting me demolish it too! : )

Panama City Beach Florida: 2011

Ready...
set...
Let's GO!!!!!!

This was our 3rd annual family vacation with Gracelee to Panama City Beach, Florida.
*
Justin's momma, a.k.a. Grammy, graciously flew us into PCB to stay at her home- away- from- home in the Sunrise Condos on the beach. Each year brings new surprises with Gracelee. The first year, we only stayed a day and a half at the beach, and that was enough because she was so little... last year we did 3 full days, and she loved it! She played in the sand, hung out under the sunshade, played in the water... and this year, we stayed for 6 days, 5 on the beach!!!! Whoa, momma! We are pooped, but we had sooooo much fun!
*
Gracelee is a very well- behaved child. She has her typical 2 moments, but they are few and far between... REALLY far between! It makes the trips out of town or just to dinner, so enjoyable! God granted us with a child that listens and pays attention, and is very good natured. I know it sounds like I am bragging, but seriously, I cannot believe it myself sometimes, and I feel I need to document it.
*

I'd like to start you with a segment of pictures I like to call
*
"The precious faces of Gracelee"
*
This one was on the plane coming home... She was so well- behaved the entire trip, and I am sure she was just exhausted!
Ready to play

This was right before we went out to dinner... again, the child was a dream! She waited patiently, no whining, no crying, ate her dinner, danced to the live music, colored... I just cannot thank God enough for her!!!
And this... I just love her so much... have I said that before?
The day time beach fun included the pool...

The waterfall mushroom (Aunt Banana showing Gracelee that it doesn't hurt... sucha good sport!)

And the beach, of course!
Let's do this!
We had to collect water to get the castle sand ready... the sand there is like sugar... so we had to add the "strength"
Side Pony Pose
"Kiss it" when she gets a "boo boo"
Helping daddy get started with his castle
Shell collecting time with Grammy
Aunt Banana and Lauren... she would tell me, "Momma, I sit with Banana and Lauren. They my friends." Ahh! So sweet!
Daddy builds the ultimate sand castles!
If you look really hard, you can see momma's mermaid... Hey, now! I tried!
And a little night time fun
*
We decided to teach Gracelee the all time favorite childhood game of "Duck-Duck-Goose!"
*
She got it for the most part, and I am sure she had as much fun as the rest of us! It is amazing to watch her learn something new!
*
And just look at that face!
Duck...
Duck...
Goose! She would run whether it was her turn or not and we ended up chasing her down the hall into the bathroom and then back! Such a hoot!
And this is "My turn again, please!" You cannot say "no" to that!
My favorite part...
The sunsets are so divine! I just love it there!
We have our little picture sessions each time we go...
Aunt Banana and Gracelee waiting their turns (Gracelee is eating mini chocolate chips... WHAT ELSE?!?!?!)
Posin' by the water
Little angel
My whole heart...
and soul
The girls!
My family
We had a blast!
*
Thank you to Grammy! We enjoyed EVERY minute!
*
We love you!

Library Day 2: 6/30/2011

She let me French Braid her hair... Of course, we had to call it "Tangled" Hair
She is such a cutie pie! Brought in her baby monkey and, lo and behold, they sang "No more Monkeys Jumping on the Bed"... EXCITEMENT!!!

For your viewing Pleasure...

Music is such a big part of our lives!

We hope you enjoy this presentation!
