I love morning time!

I wonder what she was dreaming? It often makes me wonder: What is funny to a 4 week old? =0 )

Isn't she yummy!

Can I believe it?

Can I believe that my angel is 4 weeks old?
*
No.
*
Can I believe that she is pushing 9 pounds?
*
No.
*
Can I believe that she smiles and coos and is starting to laugh on her own?
*
No.
*
Is motherhood better than I could have ever imagined in my wildest dreams?
*
Absolutely!
*
Everyone tells you to wait until you are ready for children... YOU ARE NEVER READY. That last part of the sentence has new meaning for me, though. Yes, you are probably never financially ready, and you are probably not ready for the nights of broken sleep... but the thing I realized is that I WAS READY!!! Not monetarily and not rested, but in the most infatuated way possible!
*
This sort of love is indescribable. My heart is out of my chest and in the form of a baby girl. I ache to think of her growing up, both in a happy and sad way. Every day I look at her she is more breath taking! Every day that I see her understanding more of the world around her, I am never more proud. I am ready to teach her about life and introduce her to so many things around her... I want her to know every day how much I love her... how deep my admiration for her runs... how with every step she takes I am right behind her no matter what with tears in my eyes because she is DOING life and I am proud of her.
*
4 weeks of my life just flew by... I cannot believe my baby is nearly a month old, and 4 weeks ago she was still inside my belly... and 40 weeks before that I was praying so hard for a miracle, for a bundle of joy from God that I could cherish and love and raise to know Him and follow His way. What a difference 10 months makes!
*
Happy Birthday, baby Girl! Know that I love you in a way that only a mother can! Know that you are my everything! Know that I will do everything in my power to make the next 4 weeks and the next and the next and the next, forever and ever, the best possible for you! Know that I want to stimulate you intellectually and spiritually in order to nurture your soul! You are AMAZING! And, I Love You!

What can I say?!?!?!?

Dear Annabelle,
It is so amazing these daddy's that we have! They love us so much, and I am so glad that we found these outfits so that we can say what we feel out loud! Daddys are amazing! They are so strong for us and they play really good... the thing I think I like best is that fact that they are wrapped around our little fingers! = ) Not that we would take advantage or anything! Daddys are there to pick us up when we fall, to make sure there are no monsters under the bed, to clean up a mess and not tell mom, to show us the type of man that we should marry one day. The only trouble with that is Prince Charming is a little late already... we have Daddy! Anyway, I cannot wait to see you and mommy says it has begun... the matching outfits without talking to each other first! Mommys are amazing too... just in a different way! Can't wait until Saturday!
Love you!

Couldn't be more true!!!

She is the light of my life! The apple of her daddy's eye!!! And the reason I fall more in love with my husband every day!!! Who would have thought that amount of love even existed?!?

Happy Easter 2009! Baby's First Easter!!!

Well, Gracelee's first Easter was awesome! Since we are still on house arrest, family decided to come to us... it was very nice! Everyone brought food, which always makes a holiday event even more special! We missed the family that could not be with us to celebrate, but we will see everyone VERY soon!
*
Of course, Easter is not complete without momma's bunny cake, and this year Keila (Aunt Keke) made one too! They were both exquisite! We also had a lemon pie dessert that Lessie made that was incredible too!
*
Anyone notice that I started with dessert?!?!?!?! = )

*
Along with a honey baked ham and roasted turkey, we enjoyed the fine culinary expertise of our mothers and sisters with foods like German Potato Salad, Green bean salad with feta cheese and toasted walnuts, carrot slaw, macaroni and cheese, sweet potato casserole, and green bean/ corn casserole... we also indulged in homemade cheddar cheese biscuits that were divine! The spread was incredible, and it really made Justin and I feel very blessed to have such a wonderful family that didn't mind providing such a feast AND bringing it to us! WOW!! Thank you to everyone who made that possible and we love you all very much!
*
Now on to more pictures...
*
The new family
... wait... we forgot Lady... she loves the camera! = )
Grammy and Nini
Pawpaw, Grandma, Uncle B, Uncle Buddy, Aunt Keke, and Great Pawpaw
*
And now for the Easter photo shoot that she will either love or get really mad at me for later as she gets older... Sorry Baby Girl, Mommy just loves to make over you and you are so precious that I want to remember every little second I have with you! You grow up so fast, and I want to remember you little, AND watch you grow into the beautiful, kind, graceful, and God- fearing woman we KNOW you are going to be!

Some Gracelee outfits

The fun has only just begun! She already has so many clothes... Easter we are having a photo shoot... those pictures are coming! Until then, here are some of my favorites!
*
*
Grandma's Little Doll with her white warm up pants

She is stylin' and cool, with her hand in her pocket!
Her "Beautiful" Blue outfit with stylish head band
Her duckie outfit that daddy picked out for her is so precious and sweet
and we have to put the daddy love picture!!!

Out of Town Guests

Justin's aunt and Nini made a visit to see Miss Gracelee this week! It was so great to see them both!!! Justin and I know it is hard to travel, and we appreciate it more than words can say! We have great family... it is so nice to be able to rely on the ones you love for support and advice! It was also nice to see Justin's aunt Cissy (or "G" Cissy for Miss Gracelee) because my Labor nurse reminded me of her... I was so comforted by that! I will have to borrow some pictures from Lessie or Amanda because most of mine from that evening were blurry... darn it! Anyway, here are a couple that came out okay...

Nini meets Gracelee

Generations... look at that happy daddy!!!!!

My first Binki

Yes... I am a great baby!!! Yes... I am well mannered and I have a great temperament!!! All of this is true and when 11:30 pm to 1:00 am roll around each night, I get a little bit antsy... just a little bit! Grandma was nice enough to buy me some binkies that are perfect for my age and mouth because I still get breast milk and I don't want to get confused. The binki is great and I don't need it all the time, nor do I want it all the time! It is a perfect solution when I am full, dry, and just plain tired! I love my binki!!!
