Dancing Queen

My beautiful sister, Brittany, had a dance competition this weekend, and Justin and I were lucky enough to get to watch! She is a brilliant, and graceful dancer, and I think she is the best! Brittany is beginning to start on point, which is incredible for an 11 year- old girl! She is so precious to me... I love her so much! I hope that she keeps doing what she loves and stays passionate and focused. Life throws so many challenges our way, and I think dancing will keep her on the straight and narrow!

My brother James and my nephew Elliot

As you know from previous blogs, there is nothing more near and dear to my heart than my family. Nothing melts my heart like seeing my brother so happy and so in love with his child. It is a beautiful thing to see a man with a newborn. The feelings show right through their faces, and you can almost read their minds. It's as if they are saying Oh my God! This is a person that I helped create! This is part of me... how scary and wonderful at the same time!
I am not one yet, but I feel like being a parent WILL be one of the most wonderful AND scariest experiences of my life! There is so much responsibility, and yet, you get to grow up all over again! You get to see the world through the eyes of YOUR child! How amazing!!! Just looking at the picture, you know my brother will be a parent that is strong and loving- He will bring such wonder and excitement to Elliot, and I cannot wait to watch him grow up and listen to his little voice tell all of his stories!
Baby Elliot, your Aunt T loves you so much! I cannot wait to hold you... I will always listen to you, I will always have a good book for you, and I will always have candy ( and I won't even tell your parents!)!!
God has yet again blessed our family!

Weekend with Brian

Brian came in town this weekend for Spring Break. We love it when he comes in town because we never get to see him, it seems like! We Wii- ed it up, and played games like always. Brian and I have a special bond! I think we could play games all day long and NEVER get tired or bored! We have been that way since we were little! It is so cool to be close to a sibling! I wish Brian lived closer so that we could have dinner get- togethers and game nights... maybe someday!
Family is something so special. They are always there for you, they will love you no matter what, and they always have your best interest at heart. Our entire family is unique in that we ARE so close, and it is the coolest thing in the world! I have 3 brothers and a sister, which makes my family huge... would not ever change that! We have cousins that we see pretty consistently, that we are super close to... I get to be Aunt T to their babies, which makes me the luckiest! And we all have parents and aunts and uncles that teach us and loves us like their own children. WOW!!! How many people can say that??? How many people can say, without a doubt, our family could spend every holiday together and love every minute? My guess is not many, but the ones that can know how blessed they are!! Family is the best!

Blame it on the Rain

Well, it is 4:00pm, and I am sitting in the Shreveport Airport, which let me start by saying is stellar, and apparently our flights are being cancelled due to incliment weather. It is moments like this that remind me why I so desperately want out of this job. My husband and animals are at home, cozy, and enjoying the rain storm. Our house is beautiful when it rains because you can see the drops hitting the water in the lake behind our backyard. It is wonderful, and a sign that God is real and He makes everything beautiful! I am learning, you have to be careful what you ask for. I had wanted this job for months, thinking that it was one thing, and clearly finding out now, that it is another. God answered my prayers in letting me get the job, and then gave me a choice as to whether or not to accept it. That's the thing I am learning- God answers always, and then He gives us choices. This choice I should have known was not for me as I am a complete home- body.... as a matter of fact, WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING???? I will tell you that I am not proud of the initial reason for taking the job, but I have seen the error in my ways, and I am going to take firm action! It is going to be hard, but you know what, I am gonna be happy, and that means everyone around me will be happier. I have an issue of making my issues other peoples issues!
So now that I have rambled on about airports, and life decisions, I am contemplating renting a car and driving back home. Don't really know what to do, but I am for sure blaming the rain!

Lady's 3rd Birthday

Happy Birthday Lady!
Our little baby turned 3 years old on March 1st. She was so excited to get presents!! Just look at her reactions! So darn cute!!!
This was when we showed her the bag of presents!

This is when she gets to go through the bag and take out her presents!
Look at her tail!!

Her Birthday cookie!!

Big Baller!!

This weekend was T.J.'s last basketball game. He has improved so much, and is a really aggressive player! In this last game T.J. made 2 baskets and had several assists! They tied in the end, but T.J. is always a winner to me! Love you buddy! Of course, all of the talent came from the coach!! It was a great game!! Immediately following this basketball game, T.J. had his first solo and ensemble with his Viola. We were not allowed to watch, however I did see him practice, and he is amazing! Must be nice to be that talented and smart at such a young age!!!
